Who can’t have a Japanese Head Spa Treatment?
Pregnancy and hair extensions are both contraindications to Japanese Head Spa treatments.
During pregnancy, hormonal changes can make the scalp more sensitive and some massage techniques and essential oils are used in the treatment may not be suitable. Also during pregnancy, lying flat on your back is not recommended. Since the treatment involves lying flat for a prolonged period of time it is not suitable.
Hair extensions can also interfere with the scalp massage and cleansing process, potentially causing discomfort or damage to the extensions themselves.
For the safety and comfort of our clients, we recommend postponing this treatment until after pregnancy and the removal of any hair extensions.
